Props

The three feature killings of the teaser trailer have been chosen specifically to represent a certain aspect f our film and genre. The first object is a knife, this is being used as a phallic object as the narrative of the film includes representations of sex between youths. For this killing the victim will be in the shower, with inter-textual reference to Physco,the shower being steamed up will add tension to who the killer actually is,due to this being the twist within the film. The second object is a hair dryer, the red colour hair dryer is used to conotate blood linking to the killers red dress, for this killing the person is going to get electrocuted by the killer dropping the hairdryer into the bath whilst the person is in it. For our third object we decided that we would use a wine bottle too get smashed over the victims head, this has been specifically chosen as the girls will be drinking wine in the first scenes, which helps set up the narrative, it is also commonly known as a females drink and we think that we could effectively be able to film the killing using cut up glass and fake blood.

Props revised

After shooting the killing scene with the hairdryer we decided for many reasons that this didn't work; the main one being that it was visible who the killer was. So we completely got rid of this and had an attack which is now the last 'attack', the girl isn't sure too be killed as she just gets grabbed round the neck.
